When the Day Met the Night...?

When the moon fell in love with the sun

All was golden in the sky.

All was golden when the day met the night.

When the sun found the moon

She was drinking tea in a garden,

Under the green umbrella trees

In the middle of summer.

When the moon found the sun

He looked like he was barely hanging on'

But her eyes saved his life

In the middle of summer (summer).

In the middle of summer

All was golden in the sky.

All was golden when the day met the night.

Summer (summer)

All was golden in the sky.

All was golden when the day met the night.

Summer, summer, summer, summer

All was golden when the day met the night.

So he said, "Would it be alright

If we just sat and talked for a little while

If in exchange for your time

I give you this smile?"

So she said, "That's okay

As long as you can make a promise

Not to break my little heart

Or leave me all alone in the summer."

When the Day Met the Night...?
This song is amazing. I also REALLY like the intro to The Piano Knows Something I Don't Know (and the rest of the song).

I love this album. It's such a stark contrast to AFYCSO, but it's still distinctly Panic.

BTW I am almost absolutely sure that the Sun is the He and and the Moon is the She.

When the sun found the moon

She was drinking tea in a garden,

Under the green umbrella trees

In the middle of summer.

It would be awkward to say that the girl found the boy while she was drinking tea in the garden. It just makes more sense the other way around.

The same goes for the next verse.

When the moon found the sun

He looked like he was barely hanging on'

But her eyes saved his life

In the middle of summer (summer)
Reply:NO!!! the Sun is the woman, and the Moon is the man. because if you read this part....

When the moon found the sun

He looked like he was barely hanging on'

why would the sun be the man when it says when the MOON found the sun HE looked like he was barley hanging on. Report It

Reply:The moon is actually the man and the sun the woman. If you look at the context it's in, it says when the %26lt;b%26gt;sun%26lt;/b%26gt; found the moon, %26lt;b%26gt;she%26lt;/b%26gt; was drinking tea in a garden. Vice versa for the moon.

amazing song though, that whole album is definitely their best.
Reply:I love it, so beautiful. wondering tho, i read it as the moon being the woman and the sun being the man, but others have seen it the other way, what do you think?
