I am looking for the name of a tree that is small to medium that looks almost shaped like a umbrella?

My first thought is the Umbrella Elm or Camperdown Elm (Ulmus glabra var. camperdownii)

It's most likely a type of weeping tree that is trimmed for the branches to be the same length. (Trimming that way is very common.) I think it's most likely a weeping cherry, but definitely not a weeping willow because those grow to be HUGE.
Reply:Are you talking about the weeping willow tree.
Reply:being from the south, i kind of hope the mountain magnolia is what you seek.see source.
Reply:Maybe a weeping cherry tree?
Reply:Maybe a "Weeping Willow"?

They have long, almost whiplike branches that "droop" down to form an umbrella-like shaped.

One of my favorites.
